Scribbles
A decade ago, my living room was a brainstorming hub, filled with scribbled business ideas and dreams of escaping the 9 to 5 grind. Little did I know that those scribbles would turn into business ownership in the pizza world.
Fast forward to today, and I find myself back at square one, notebook in hand, contemplating the next chapter of my life. This time, though, the stakes feel higher, and the path forward seems unclear.
I'm proud of what I accomplished in the past decade. The business is self-sufficient, being led by an amazing management team. I've achieved my initial goals, along with many more. We won at the pizza game. But now what? What's the next challenge?
As I embark on this new chapter, I can't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. This time around, I have more resources at my disposal, but it feels like there's more to lose.
I share this story not to dwell on my struggles, but to celebrate the process of growth, self discovery, and the pursuit of new passions. I believe that it's crucial to remain open to new possibilities and to continue to learn from our experiences, both positive and negative.
I would love to find something that utilizes all of the skills, knowledge and lessons I have learned over the last 10 years, but also learn completely different and new things. I really enjoyed the process of learning everything I could about the pizza business and then deploying those findings.
I have spent some time trying new things over the last year. I worked on a few productions as a background actor, which was amazing and opened my eyes to the world of entertainment. I loved it because it was so different from what I was used to. After that experience, I enrolled in a 10 week acting class, which tore me out of my comfort zone. I have been traveling to learn new cultures, see how things are done differently in far corners of the world. I have been doing random online courses on photography, videography and writing. I even did a bit of painting.
I know that, with time, the next chapter of my life will reveal itself, and I'll be ready to seize the opportunity! What will my current scribbles turn into?
To those who are also navigating uncertain waters or embarking on new adventures, remember that you're not alone. Embrace the journey and trust the process. It's in these moments of uncertainty that we truly discover our potential.
